Notice of the Right to a Good Faith Estimate
Part 2 No Surprises Act
If you have private health insurance, your insurance provider can ensure that your planned medical costs are visible and accessible (so you’re aware of your costs prior to receiving care). The No Surprises Act ensures that uninsured or self-pay patients receive a good faith estimate of their medical costs from the practice ahead of their scheduled appointment.
Along with an estimate of your care costs, you’re entitled to a breakdown of the costs of any tests and procedures accessory to your initial visit at the time of your appointment. We will keep these estimates included in your patient file – you can request a paper copy at any time.
Finally, if you receive a bill that is $400 or more than your good faith estimate, you have 120 days from your billing date to dispute the charges.
