My journey into healthcare began long before I stepped into an audiology clinic.

Growing up, softball was a huge part of my life, and I dreamed of competing at the highest level as a pitcher. When a serious shoulder injury led to multiple surgeries and years of physical therapy, I was forced to step away from the sport I loved. While that chapter of my life didn’t end the way I expected, it taught me something incredibly valuable: the impact that compassionate healthcare providers can have on a person’s life. Through my own experiences as a patient, I learned how much empathy, encouragement, and personalized care matter during difficult times. The resilience and determination I developed through that journey continue to guide me every day.

My decision to become an audiologist was also inspired by someone very close to me—my grandmother. Watching her struggle to hear and communicate with family members opened my eyes to how much we rely on hearing to stay connected with the people we love. I saw firsthand how hearing difficulties can affect relationships, confidence, and everyday moments, and I knew I wanted to help others avoid feeling disconnected from those important conversations and experiences.

What I love most about audiology is that it allows me to combine science, technology, and compassionate patient care in a way that can truly change lives. Communication is at the heart of our relationships, and I am passionate about helping people hear better so they can continue making memories, sharing stories, and enjoying meaningful connections with family and friends.

One of the most rewarding parts of this profession is seeing the joy and confidence that can come from improved hearing. Whether it’s hearing a grandchild’s voice more clearly, participating in conversations with ease, or simply feeling more connected to the world around them, those moments are incredibly meaningful to me.

As I continue my clinical training during my externship at Hearing Doctors of New Jersey, I look forward to meeting patients, learning from an exceptional team, and helping individuals and families achieve their hearing goals. It is a privilege to be part of each patient’s journey, and I am excited to help people reconnect with the sounds and relationships that matter most.
